Times are hard and the struggle is real. But, just because you are in a struggle doesn’t mean you have to look like it. When your style is high and the funds are low, here are a few tips to keep your style game on point.

Numero Uno: Really, truly, understand your own personal style. It is a pity to spend money on apparel that is trendy ,but not what you really want.  If the look is not what you really want or like, the garment will adorn the closet more that it will adorn you (#moneywasted).  When you purchase items that are your style, you get the value out of the garment because you can rock it regardless of the trend or season.

Numero Dos: Buy Separates.  Why? Because you can mix and match  the items to make multiple combinations and looks. Doing this makes your wardrobe  appear larger than what it really is. Why spend money on extra clothes when you can maximize what you already have? When making a purchase, ask yourself , “ Does this match with items I already have?” If it does and you can afford it, KA-CHING!  You have added value to your wardrobe without breaking the bank.

Numero Tres: Do NOT shade the thrift store! Yep,  it may smell like mothballs and your grandma’s attic ,but there are glorious treasures to be found at an affordable price.  However, you must have patience. You may have to sift through multiple decades of clothing to find a unique piece that is true to your style.

Numero Cuatro: Accessories are your friend. To lift your look to the next  level, collect quality accessories.  A statement necklace, bangles and a great set of heels can make a white t-shirt and skinny jeans look like it just came off the runway.  Visit our online boutique to browse accessories that will elevate a simple look.

Numero Cinco:  Approach the clearance section with boldness! The clearance section usually has  styles  that are not in season. Don’t be afraid to purchase sweaters in the summer or swimsuits in the winter.  When the appropriate season rolls around, the look will be in style because it is YOUR style! Betta’ get that discount.

Finalmente, take care of your clothing. When you take care of your items by washing and storing them properly, they last longer.  Hence, decreasing the need to spend more on new clothes. When it comes to your looks, take the advice of Keith Sweat and  “Make it Last Forever.”
